What made you originally choose to work at LJ Hooker Property Partners?
I was drawn to LJ Hooker Property Partners because of its strong presence in the industry, supportive team culture, and its reputation for delivering real results. I knew it was the right place to grow my career.
What do you enjoy most about working at LJ Hooker Property Partners?
The people. I love working in a team where everyone genuinely wants to see each other succeed. There’s also a strong focus on mentorship and collaboration, which has helped me a lot as I’ve been building my confidence and skills.
What's it like working in sales?
It’s both challenging and incredibly fulfilling. Every day is different, and I love the opportunity to meet new people, learn their stories, and help guide them through such an important milestone in life.
What’s it like working with Gary Liu?
Gary is an amazing mentor. He’s experienced, knowledgeable, and always generous with his time and support. I’ve learned so much from him in such a short time, and I feel very lucky to be part of his team.
What do you feel is the difference you offer to clients?
I offer a caring, bilingual service with a strong focus on communication and trust. Coming from a background where relationships matter, I treat each client’s journey as if it were my own and strive to deliver a smooth and positive experience.
What are your favourite things about the areas you service?
I love the diversity and sense of community in the southside, especially Sunnybank and its surroundings. The food, the families, the lifestyle, it’s vibrant and full of life, and I’m proud to call this area home for both work and my personal life.
How have you utilised your previous career history, skills, and knowledge in your current role?
My background in marketing and client service has been a huge asset. I understand how to promote properties effectively and how to communicate with different types of people, both in English and Chinese, which has helped me build strong rapport with clients quickly.
What are some major things you have learnt since starting work here?
I’ve learned how important consistency, follow-up, and mindset are in this industry. Every interaction matters, and staying positive, even when results take time, makes all the difference.
What's some of your fondest memories from working here?
One of my favourite memories was attending our team auction day, it was high-energy, collaborative, and inspiring to see so many successful outcomes. Also, the small daily wins like a great client call or team encouragement mean a lot.
What are your goals for the future?
I want to become a trusted, go-to agent in the Sunnybank and southside area. My short-term goal is to gain more listings and help more families move forward, and long-term, to grow into a top performer and to mentor others along the way.
What advice do you have for others wanting to pursue a career in real estate/sales?
Be consistent, be patient, and be a willing to learn. Real estate isn’t just sales, it’s about people. The more you focus on adding value and building relationships, the more success will follow.
