When I received a flyer from Marty saying he had sold another townhouse in the same complex for a certain price I contacted him. We had a long chat about that sales price and the new townhouse developments in the area and what it meant for my property. Based on that info I decided to sell. I chose to go with Marty as I liked the way he spoke with me, he wasn't pushy, instead he was helpful, friendly and very pleasant to deal with. I didn't bother to check out any other agents. We first put the property up for sale in September 2017. I live near Canberra, but went to Queensland on holiday in October so met with Marty and viewed the property. We decided it needed new carpets, paint, blinds and some handyman work to be completed to give it a better chance of selling so we took it off the market. Because I live so far away, and was not sure that the on-site property manager would be able to manage the refurbishment well, Marty kindly obtained trades quotes for me, then organised the trades to do their work, and checked if for me afterwards. He took care of all the little details, which took a huge weight off my mind. I don't give high praise easily. I am told I have high standards for myself, so that means I also have high standards for others (although I personally think I have 'normal' standards). Anyway, Marty is definitely worth high praise. He certainly was always helpful, calm and easily accessible. He never made me feel I was being a nuisance or asking silly questions. He always carried out what he said he would do, and always in a quick timeframe. I came to think of Marty as a friend rather than my sales agent. I could talk to him easily, and we often had a laugh, which always makes the day nicer. Living so far away from the property made it difficult for me to do much, especially the refurbishment that was needed prior to the sale, so Marty did tons of things to help me, for which I am highly grateful. I am glad I chose him as my sales agent.
